Opening of the new BSH Hausgeräte AG showroom: The “Ateliers of Inspiration” in the heart of Bern!
In autumn 2022, market leader and number one home appliance manufacturer in Europe, BSH, will open the “Ateliers of Inspiration” in a prime location in Bern. The showroom will find its home in the renowned Fruchthof and will unite the global brands of home appliances Bosch and Siemens, as well as the luxury brand Gaggenau, under its roof.
The first “Ateliers of Inspiration” in the capital are being built at Laupenstrasse 20 in Bern. The Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau brands will be brought to life there, as will Home Connect. In the process, BSH is combining culinary art, design and technology and is completely dedicated to everyday life, kitchen culture and its future. Functional and modular room concepts will be presented that show what a kitchen (of the future) can look like. It’s not about the complete furnishings, but about modern and smart home appliances that make home life a lot easier. The variety of our brands and home appliances are brought to life in the Ateliers of Inspiration through many culinary events and activities, and brought closer to the customers.
Bosch – The “Atelier of Life”
Bosch has always stood for simple solutions, high quality and perfect results. Accordingly, the rooms are bright, open and have a homely atmosphere. The design is straightforward and contains selective colour accents. A healthy and sustainable lifestyle has a long tradition at Bosch, and the company has also been carbon neutral since 2020. This fact will also be visible in the design of the rooms.
Siemens – The “Atelier of the Future”
At Siemens, the emphasis is on modernity, efficiency and aesthetics. The rooms will be presented accordingly in high-quality design and materials. The focus is on the exclusive studioLine range. Furthermore, future-oriented technologies will be brought to life and made tangible in the form of Home Connect.
Gaggenau – The “Atelier of Culture”
In the collective experience of over 330 years of company history, three principles have always been sacrosanct for Gaggenau: uncompromisingly visionary design, careful selection of the finest materials and craftsmanship. These three principles have been implemented in this state-of-the-art studio, which is perfectly integrated into the cultural history of the city of Bern. An unforgettable experience awaits the visitor!
The “Atelier of Inspiration” was designed by Schmidhuber Brand Experience GmbH, a company that manages projects for BSH all over the world. Architecture studio 1zu33 GmbH conceived the Gaggenau area.
Legendary address for food and enjoyment
The Fruchthof is a familiar name to the citizens of Bern. Immigrant Italian Domenico Pileggi and his son Luca have run the business for years, supplying the city in genuine Italian style under the name “Italfruit”. In 2016, this came to an end, much to the chagrin of many Bernese, who are now pleased that the Fruchthof is being revived.
